A New Day

Well all. This is day 2 and the more I read the more i see the benefit of sharing knowledge with all out there. The amount of information contained within just a few local bloggs is amazing.

I have a friend that is travelling around Asia at the minute and his blogg is amazing -http://www.walkaboutwatson.com/ . This guy was one of the best and most energetic engineers I have had the pleasure of working with. He has started to use Flicker as a platform to share pictures from his journey and they are truely amazing. You will see from some of the shots that he is a bit of a landscape buff with an eye for a great shot.

I hope to include some snipits of my reading material in my blogg posts but for now, I just trying to jazz up my home page with blogg add on's. The point of this exercise is for me to gain knowledge of how the world of blogging works as well as gain an insight in to new methods of learning. You will see from some of my own blogg links what sort of stuff I am into.

Blogging Intro

Hi All

I have started this blogg after reading a blogging book from Darren Rowse, Editor of Problogger - http://www.problogger.net/. My name is Kieran Kelly and I have been envolved in IT for over 15 years. Recently within the last 5 years I have moved into a Microsoft Infrastructure Team based out of Business & Scientific Services Belfast. After a recent trip to the Microsoft World Wide Partner conference in Huston, I have been spending some time with a few partners who blogg for a living.

I find it extremely relaxing and I have started this with a view to inviting a few friends to share in the blogging experience. Based on the evidence in Darren's book I am amazed at the amount of people who get into blogging for a living. The more I read the more I am willing to share and obtain information with people within the IT solution space.

I am very Microsoft centric but utilise a number of 3rd party products to complement the core Microsoft stack. I would be delighted to hear comments from anyone where I can gain more guidence on this blogging lark and see where it all goes. I want ot have fun and communicate with people along the blogging journey, so bring it on.
